- Phosphorus or Bisphosphonates
- Calcitonin (Calcitonin is a thyroid hormone that decreases the plasma calcium level by inhibiting bone resorption and lowering the serum calcium concentration)
 
Rule #2. Dx (causes)
-  Acute renal failure
 

Rule #3. S&S

- Hypoactive bowel sounds

- Decreased deep tendon reflexes

 
** Vit D?
- Vitamin D enhances the absorption of calcium
- Ca+ bind to vit D in the blood

 

Rule #4 Diet (low Ca+)

 - Broccoli

- Lettuce

- Apples

** Cheese ?

• Chees contains high Ca+
