NCLEX 준비- NSAID

안녕하세요 예비 미국 간호사 선생님들
이번에는 NSAID (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)에 대해 공부해봅시다.
이 문제는 보통 passing level입니다.

Rule #1. 종류 암기
- Ibuprofen: used for toothache, migraine and period pain
- Aspirin: used for relieve pain and reduce the risk of serious problems like heart attacks and strokes.
- Naproxen: used for joint pain and inflammation
- Celecoxib: used for relieve symptoms of arthritis (eg, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or juvenile rheumatoid arthritis), such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain.


Rule #2. Side effect 암기
- GI toxicity: GI upset, GI bleeding
- Kidney injury
- Oto-toxicity (ear)
- Hypertension and Heart failure; Ciurrhosis/ascites
- Bleeding risk: Do NOT take in anticoalgulant therapy (heparin, wafarin etc)

Rule #3. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is NOT NSIAD
- Acetaminophen (Tylenol) Max dose: 4g (4,000mg) in 24 hr
- Antidote: Acetylcysteine
