NCLEX 준비 - Anti-coagulation drug

이번에는 Anti-coagulation drug 에 대해 공부해봅시다.
이 문제는 보통 passing level입니다.

 

What is anti-coagulant function?

>> They inhibit coagulation reaction, NOT dissolve clots

(Help to dessolve, NOT dissovle itself)

 

What dissolve clots ?

>> Tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) 

 

Rule #1 Heparin vs Wafarin antidote

- Heparin: Protamine

- Wafarin: Vit K (Grean Leafy veggies)

 

Rule #2 aPTTvs INR

aPTT = Heparin

- Normal: 25-35 sec

- Therapeutic: 45-76 sec

* What happen aPTT is to high ?

>> Decrease Heparin rate

 

INR = Wafarin

- Normal: 2-3.5

- NO Grean Leafy veggies

 

Rule #3 Avoid 3G herbal during anticoagulant therapy

- Ginko

- Ginger

- Garlic

 

Rule #4 Avoid 3 foods during wafarin

- Broccoli

- Liver

- Spinach

 

Rule #5 NO NSAID during anticoagulant therapy

- Avoid "aspirin"

- Tylrentol is NOT NSAID

- NO Aclohol

** Estrogen = promote coalguation function
