Nclex 준비 - Preeclampsia & Mg2+

안녕하세요 예비 미국 간호사 선생님들,

오늘은 Preeclampsia에 대해 공부해 봅시다.

 

Rule #1 S&S

- Hypertention (High BP) after 20 weeks (2nd-3rd Trimester)

- Protein Uria

- Edema (facial)

- Headache/visual change/abd pain

 

Rule #2 Know Mg2+ and antidote

- Mg2+: Slow down

- Mg2+ toxicity: Central nerve shut down

• Maintain breathing >16
• Notify MD if RR<12
• Reflex 2-
• Urine output <30 ml/hr
• Somnolence

- Nursing action: STOP Mg2+ and give fluid

- Antidote: Ca+

 

 

 

Rule #3 Know HELLP syndrome (Life threatening)

- Hemolysis: Hgb < 7

- Elevated Liver enzyme: Right upper quadarant pain

- Low Platelet count: normal platelet (150k - 450k)

 

Rule #4 nursing action

- Give fluid
