NCLEX 준비 - neutural tube defect

안녕하세요 예비 미국 간호사 선생님들,
오늘은 natural tube defect에 대해 공부해 봅시다.


neutural tube defect이란, 척수나 뇌가 개방이 되어 있는 상태로 신경관이 완전히 닫히지 않는 경우

Rule #1. Give Folic Acid (400mg)
- Folic acid= Vit B9
- Folic acid is NOT Iron
- Food: cereal, bread, pasta, and green leafy veggies

 

Rule #2. Do NOT give ACE inhibitors (-pril) and ARBs after 20 weeks (2nd trimester)
- Fetal renal and caridac abnormally
